My wife and I both got a break from work, her first ever snow-day in 8 years of working there and mine in 5 1/2 for each of our places of employ...

She hates driving in snow, so I dropped her at work then cleared the drive early in the storm, when I got done, she called that she was off, they were cancelling, and she was catching a ride home. I was due in to work soon, so I called my work for a status report and they said "Don't bother"... We both went to lunch before the storm got to full steam and came home to watch a movie and play with our foster kittens. Then we went out and helped a neighbor blow her drive with our blower, and finished our movie and waited for the storm to "end". We went and got some firewood and and a Redbox movie and we are going to spend the rest of the day eating tacos and watching the movie by the fireplace.

    Stay safe and warm. :ingo:

My wife and son are on vacation anyway; my work was called off. Boy and I spent the morning playing Skylanders on the PS3, then I cleaned up the gun room after lunch, then shoveled the driveway (neighbor came over with his snow blower about halfway through and helped out). Waiting on my bro to make his way up here from my folks' place on the south side of Indy, so I can see him for a bit before he has to head back east tomorrow.

Shoveled the driveway, & walk, built a couple snowmen with my wife (felt 16 again), shoveled part of culdesac in prep for work tomorrow, showered, & now feel 75, dang I'm sore!

I helped my neighbor clear out about five driveways on the cul-de-sac and cleaned my reloading room. I found some stuff that I can put up for free a little later.

On the road, it sucked, people are stupid and I should have been allowed to shoot some of them or at least their tires

    ^^^:laugh::laugh::laugh:^^^

I went in at 7:00. Around 9:00 they sent everyone home. Hardly any traffic on my route home. Once there I shoveled the driveway, went inside and continued packing for my move to Colorado. :D

One would have thought 2 feet of snow had fallen as bad as HWY 41 was south of Sullivan to Evansville

I had one of these moments with a jerk in a truck. I was coming back from Marsh & there was this big red truck coming down the road I was going down. Instead of being a gentleman and getting over so I could pass him, this DB who was in a big red truck, wanted me to go in the snowdrift so he could pass me. I was in a car and didn't want to risk getting stuck in the snowdrift. I waited for the jerk to get over. He finally did but barely.

I only gave him the hand gesture to get over but he definitely deserved a one finger salute.

I did manage to get my drive plowed without getting stuck. Thought I screwed up a couple times though.

Wiped my truck off with a push broom, shoveled my walk and drive, drove to the office, and played with the family in the snow. I kept shoveling show up onto our slide and let the kids fly into it. Good day.

It isn't too bad up here in Muncie. The roads are looking better now. Just need this wind to die down!

Went shooting! Got in a good hour before "white-out" made it impossible to see the metal targets. (painted white at this range) Was fun anyway.

I played in our woods with the lab and Swamp Rat for about an hour.

After that I cleared 400 feet of driveway with the Massey Ferguson and split more wood for the fire. Just another day with the exception of the snow.

Went out and played in the snow with my 3 year old and my husky halfbreed. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more. Now just sitting in my living room watching Netflix and thinking about supper.

Enjoyed my two little people inside. My boy and I got some quality time together napping in the chair. Best snow day ever.

Spent it frustrated, looking at all the sold out AR mags. And shoveling, and going to the grocery to get stuff for some awesome chip dip. And sliding past my turn 3 times.

    It's pretty treacherous out.
