Just about every 99-06 LSx truck engine has a light tick at start. It's the piston skirts click against the block until it gets warm enough to seal/lubricate. They all do it at and it doesn't affect engine life at all. Dad's truck has done it the last 80k. Former Boss's 'burb did for 300k miles. Wen I left he was at 360k on the truck and running like a top.
and I bet you have had the CSK (Cold start Knock) for the last 208k miles.
You should be able to double that mileage. If you are worried about the oiling system, install a real pressure gauge (better then the stock), and/or proactively fix the oil pump assembly. Just keep up on all the other maintenance.I used to be worried about driving a vehicle with higher miles. Now, I am anxious to find out how many miles I can get out of my Jeep. Although I have heard some horror stories about the 2005-2006 4.0 Wranglers involving the OPDA.
