This seems an unusual issue to be demanding a purity test on. Most republicans believe that the constitution gave the power to declare war to the congress and no one else. So the congress passed an unconstitutional law and now wants it back. I'm glad they are not getting it back now for partisan reasons but it should be rescinded by overriding a veto in both houses as no President should ever give up power. The framers envisioned a constant struggle for power between co-equal branches. Not a lazy congress giving away power...

Richard Nixon once warned against being a single issue voter.

I think he was right. I've never seen a politician I agreed with 100% of the time. Never will.

On this particular issue, I'm unsettled. But if Senator Young pisses me off on one issue, what am I going to do, vote for a Socialist, or a Libertarian who wouldn't send fire trucks to s burning house, or a Socialist? No thanks. I'll stick with Todd Young.

Whether we like to see it or not, no matter how we vote, we vote for outcomes. If you sit at home, there’s a consequential outcome. Whether you vote this way or that way, there’s a consequential outcome.

So what outcome do you want? And of all the choices you could make in terms of voting, what’s the choice that you think most likely bring about the closest to the outcome you want?

If sitting it out doesn't that for you, then that’s what you have to do. Likely though, that’s not gonna bring about an outcome closest to what you want.

And if in fact you do sit at home.....well...…...stay out of political discussions because you lost an opportunity to make any change at all and in my mind your ability to pitch a *****.

Todd Young is a garbage-fire person but not because he wants to formally limit the president's power to wage punitive war on countries thousands of miles away and posing no danger to us.

He's an awful representative because he supports importing a horde of foreign workers to displace native-born Americans in skilled professions. Even the notionally liberal, politically progressive Salesforce donates to him, being that they're one of the top H-1B visa users in the country and have spent millions lobbying for S. 386 in the past two years.

^^^This among other reasons is why I won't be voting for Todd Young^^^

I've had enough of that guy and would be happy to support a primary opponent.
