    (1) opens automatically; or
    (2) may be propelled ejected from the handle as a projectile
    by hand pressure applied to a button, device containing means of gas, a spring, or any other device contained in the handle of the knife.

    Define "detachable". It could be meant to mean that the blade is able to be removed from the knife like any folder.

    I think it's funny that firearms aren't illegal. Bows and cross bows aren't illegal.

    BUT, a knife that can eject its blade from the handle like a projectile is pure EVIL!

    BTW. did the status of "Chinese throwing stars" change during all of this, or are they STILL evil?

    Nuts. We really need to get rid of IC 35-47-5-12 if for no other reason than it makes us Hoosiers look like a bunch of ignorant 1980s ninjaphobes.

    As I read the new law one only needs to make sure a blade that is propelled from the handle is not detachible. Would not a cable between the handle and blade keep them connected? Thus it would not be detachable.
