Reading this story, the gentleman was arrested for felony intimidation and "threatened to kill" the social worker.

As for explosives, there is this:
Once deputies entered the home Friday morning and saw what to be appeared hand grenades, Ewing said, they called in the Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit of the Indiana State Police.

The difficulty I have with the law is the he said, she said nature of it. Heath care worker gets peeved about being denied admittance to a residence and embellishes the conversation that took place. Aren't there some steps in this before somebody's collection gets confiscated?

So she said, that he said, he was going to kill her and the next day he gets arrested and all firearms are confiscated? This is how this works? What if the same scenario played out and the man had no guns in the house would that change anything?

I do hope they will at least have the decency to handle the mans property with care, when they say loading into a semi trailer that makes me cringe...

Right, and I haven't read the law, but is it specific with regards to dealing with firearms?

In a story loaded with uncertainty, the one thing you can count on is that the firearms will not be handled with care.

    Picture guys loading firewood....

Well if there is a silver lining, he will now have an accurate inventory list.
I think lack of due process before the government can come in and seize your property and your freedom is completely unconstitutional and wrong.

If this is trumped up. Hopefully the person that caused this will get the justice s/he tried to inflict on the other person.

^^This^^ How do we know this isn't some crazy anti-gun liberal that seen a Trump hat (I don't recall his political leanings just using as example) and decides to cause this man grief?

That's not really anti-Christian, per se. There are plenty of people of other faiths (and of no faith) who will not facilitate the enabling and celebration of this mental illness.

In their case the Socialist worker stated it bluntly and was supported by the law.

Something I also want to know, when the cops run to the media and tell them "this is the largest number of guns and explosives I've ever seen in 25 years in one house." And also "if no laws have been broken they can be returned", do they also privide 24/7 security to his home so that all the theives and other criminals theyve just told about a treasure dont come and steal them?
Most of us didnt want the LTCH records released for this very reason because people would have addresses of people with guns. Same with now having to register your class 3 stuff with your local Popo. This guy just blabbed to the whole world, why would they keep anything else sacred or safe? They are people just like everyone else with gums that flap in the wind.
So even if hes found innocent hes been shown to be a juicier target than some of the gun shops weve seen broken into. If you think criminals dont take notes for stories like this youd be mistaken and are underestimating the enemy

    WELL....
Now that it's been all over the news that home is completely compromised and a huge target. He'll have to move.
Well, not have to move but you can bet your butt I wouldn't stay there.
