I doubt that he had a Indiana LTCH. There are photos circulating showing a court document that he had a conviction for pistol whipping a guy several years ago. I spoke with several chicago cops today regarding the incident and was surprised that they were not very well informed about what actually happened. As time goes by it is looking like the narrative that it started as a road rage incident almost a mile away from where the run in with the fireman occurred didn't happen or it had nothing to do with the fireman and the events leading up to the shootout.

Judging by the still frame of the video of the hoodlum quite clearly pointing a gun, this was obviously a good shoot.
That doesn't change that Sheetcago is one of the worst cities in the country, right there alongside Detroit and Newark.

unfortunately there is not an IQ test to get carry permit. Some people probably should not carry even though they legally can.

what did he have his gun with him in chicago in the first place. last i knew our carry permit was not valid in IL. and even more so not valid in chicago.

Indiana carry permits are valid as long as your gun stays in the car
You can get out of your can and leave you gun inside, but you can't take the gun out of the car.
As soon as he got out of the car with his gun, he was doing something illegal.
If I understand the law correctly...

You can get out of the car with it if you go to the trunk and lock it up.

I was at Midway airport a couple of months ago and parked in the cell phone lot. Stepped out of the car to smoke and forgot about it until I got back in the car.

I told my wife I had just broken the law.

She was amazed how stupid that is.

I said "now you know why I don't want to go to Chicago."
