I think they are starting later than normal. National anthem now

Yes sir. Just after I posted my daughter yelled.
There were 4 Blackhawks that flew south to north. Then the planes did a couple of most impressive moves. Standard formation flyby.
Then The F-18 turned around and came back full burners. He went ballistic (straight up) and peeled off to the north over the house. He was wing wagging, went full burners and just disappeared. The A-10 and the Delta wing flew back over at a casual pace.

Great race! If it wasn't for that red flag to fix the safer barrier, it probably would have been the fastest in history. Now, to shower and ease this sun/fuel vapor induced burn.

Great race. . . Rossi and the frenchy french guy battling back and forth, really good racing. Would like to have seen Rossi or Carpenter pull it out at the end, oh well good race nonetheless.

I will be watching Detroit next weekend for sure.

    Great finish.

I moved to Indiana 13 years ago, and this was only the second I didn't attend in person in that time. I watched on TV after avoiding any news of the finish.

NBC did a great job on the broadcast, and it was a really exciting finish, with some balls to the wall driving.

I gotta throw this in there too

I think Rutledge Wood is awesome. I liked him in Top Gear and he still entertains.

I didn't even recognize Dale Jr on the desk.

NBC must think they're doing the rest of us a favor to broadcast the race, just endured a several minute commercial string starting with Herta's caution without any race coverage.

I like that NBC did do a lot of side by side commercials instead of going totally to a commercial but damn I am thinking over half the laps was in the side by side mode. and they need to learn when to come back to full screen

I recorded the replay on Indy channel 13 and the audio for the commentary was too low or the audio for the sound of the cars was too high. I could barely hear the commentators. I could hear the track PA better than I could hear them. Was that just the rebroadcast, or was it experienced during the live broadcast, too?

Could they... have been any more wrong about the weather?

I expect them to be wrong, but it seems like usually they're wrong in the other direction (saying it's going to be dry and then having it rain). I used to think they were overly optimistic in their forecast just so it wouldn't discourage people from going to the race. :tinfoil:

Audio was fine here live watched on YoutubeTV. Granted the occasional track side or pit broadcast as usual could be a bit difficult to hear.
