someone needs to say what happened.

    Yeah, this! What happened?

    From the Status Update thread:

and then IJ tries to cut off his left hand......he's sitting in the ER! I told him this morning not to cut himself.....but does he listen NOOOOOOO!

Just got off the phone with him, he is going to need surgery. Got his middle finger tendion 95%. Off to St. V to have surgery...will post more when I find out more....

yes at the chop in. on one of Tyler's knives go figure. The hospital where he is at is going to stich him up and stablize his hand so he doesn't tear the 5% left of the tendion. The hand specialist at St. V is swamped I guess and now he is going to have to wait till Weds I think he said to even get in there....I need a beer!

There were some nice choppers there and they were sharp! Cru and Kinnards80 walked away with the prizes. I'm trying to figure put who walked away with my brownies and cookies.

All I can say is Still Learning09 needs the Gold medal or something for her valant effort today. She took IJ to the hospital and didnt even get to enjoy the event herself needless to say she didnt even get to eat anything either. She is a hero in my book. she did get to purchase her a new knife today that she has needed for quite some time so that was a good thing. Judy here's to you girl.

IJ you did not ruin anything today. I am so glad you are going to be ok but you will have a long healing process. Keep me informed buddy.

Cru forgot to mention the new Izula with kit that he won today. :D

It was a great day and our hosts Dave and Dawn are the best people. :rockwoot: It does'nt get any better than those two.

Que we were in a truck so your goodies was not put in our vehicle.:dunno:

I will say that HotPocket and Kinnards80 are great hosts and very nice people. Also, rjstew is very good at being johnny on the spot with the bandages for both of the wounded today. I met a lot of great people and came to the conclusion that I need a nice chopper after seeing them in action. Also, I have found that it is very hard without the use of one of your fingers.

First of all I want to thank Dave and Dawn for their hospitality...two of the finest people you could ever want to meet and hang out with. I also want to thank Tyler for his hard work in putting together the chopping competition .....it was awesome despite some blood shed.
Many thanks to Fenway for being there and the INGO support that he brought to the event. Finally, I would like to thank everyone that attended, because without you we couldn't have such an awesome event...INGO ROCKS :ingo:

Ironjaw gets the tough man award in my book....it was the apple slice station where the accident happened which is not even half way through the coarse and he didn't even flinch, he just kept going and finished the 5 other stations with a time that put him in the top 4 or 5.

stillearnings you are the best for taking IJ to the ER and missing most of the event....somewhere down the road your kindness will be rewarded two fold.:yesway:

As of now I'm officially retired from any more chopping "competition" events unless there is an AARP division. :):
