I would be happy to buy the materials for the knife, blade and handles, but would need some guidence as I haven't the first clue on what to buy. So if there could be a group buy that I could get in on, I vote for that option.

Couldn't have said it better. +1

Very interested in attending, but I would be a first timer.

We will only need a pair of slabs each. .25 thick would be fine. The 3/8 will work too, but end up thick. A lot of material removal.

Cubby, so I have this straight and dont' end up screwing this up somehow. If I order the following I should be ok?

    Corby Bolts:
Corby Copper bolt MEDIUM .183" shaft with.250" shoulder - Shields, Corbys, other Fasteners - Handle Material & Hardware

    G10 scales - .25" x 5" x 1.5" (Pair)
    G10 - OD Green Scales 1/4" x 5" x 1.5 PAIR - G10 - Handle Material & Hardware

    Kydex - 12"x12", .060" sheet
    KYDEX™ Sheet - Olive Drab - (.060)

    Questions:
How many bags of rivets do you need?
    Why not Bolteron? (Curiousity purposes)

Anyone have a video recorder or handy with the steel via their phone? It's gonna be like the Fourth of July except with pointy objects.

This sounds like an absolute blast and educational to boot. I'm going to keep an eye out for it next year, hopefully there is a next year for it. I love INGO events like these, you get to meet cool new people and do cool new things and most importantly learn cool new things.

This spring is all but over filled for me.

So. How does everyone feel about September 14&15? I know is it a ways off.... But the shop is stupid hot in July/August and this spring is too full. Fall is my favorite time to grind.....

I say it's your party, you tell us when to show up. I'm in. Tentatively, of course. Life happens sometimes but if things go well I would love to soak up as much as I can.

    C ya,

Anyone who is unable to attend, and is seriously interested on building their own knife, we can work out a date and work 1 on 1. Offer always stands.
