Insight Cable (Motorola Surfboard Modem that I own)

About $40.00 a month for the Internet portion of my bill. I just recently cut my CATV off and went to Over The Air only. Bill should end up being around $78.50 for 20MB Internet + basic phone service.

Just LOVE FREE HD over the air! Everyone should do this...maybe rates would drop?

Ok I finally figured this out.My wife and I were talking about switching providers yesterday. Look like we need to!
What does the "ping" # mean?

Ping has to do with response times -it's mainly important when doing online gaming. The lower that number the better (faster) your response is.

    Mark - post a speedtest.net image. It's free.

On speedtest.net after the test hit share results...then hit the copy button.

On Ingo hit the picture icon and paste into that field that pops up.

Try this - on the Speedtest.net page toward the bottom click "My Results". It should list all the recent tests you've done. To the far right of each test line should be the word IMAGE. Click that and it should show you the full URL (address) of the image we need.

Do you mind if I ask what ISP provider your company has? Mine is looking for a company running Fiber and it looks like yours is.

I have no earthly idea who or what our ISP is. When I first started it was a T-1 from my understanding; within a year they upgraded. I "think" I heard it was a T-3...but I don't know.

And so you're all not THAT jealous, here's my home connection (again):

    AT&T UVerse... $30 a month. *sigh*

For $29.95/ mo, Brighthouse has 7 mb/s internet. For $45 you get 20mb/s and for $60 you can have 40mb/s. I'm not sure the area you live in, but pm me if you want more info. I work there.
