What exactly does this mean? I've seen it before on various stickers and shirts and decals.

I've never owned a Jeep but noticed that lots of INGOers do. I'm curious to know what makes a Jeep so special.

I've been looking at Wranglers on CraigsList and they seem pricey for what you're getting.

Jeep wranglers are one of the few vehicles that hold their value.

Theyre just so much fun to drive, fix up, accessorize and take off road.

Evan, I'll let you drive mine if you want. Watcha doing this weekend?

Sad part is, he could probably drive it better than you. :D

You really need to learn to get that thing out offroading and in the snow this winter or you'll never live this down!! :):

It's a "least practical vehicle ever made unless all you want to do is climb hills that go nowhere thing" thats why you don't understand. It's like a glock thing or a 1911 thing or a AR15 thing... oh wait... or an XD thing. :D

Oh, I LOVED my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited!!!! Now, I know it's not a wrangler but I LOVED that Jeep. If I could financially justify getting another one, I would in a heart beat. I have a Dodge Durango which is paid off but would love to have the Jeep back. (That's what happens when you have kids.. :) )

It's a Jeep thing really only applies to Wranglers (at least IMO)

    - Horrible MPGs
    - Leaky Tops
    - Rattles Galore
    - Absolutely NO cargo room
    - Rough Ride
    - Theft Magnet (at least for whatever is inside)
    - Sub-par safety ratings/history

And despite ALL that... if you own one then you ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. That is what people out of the circle don't understand. Jeep people know it's still cool and it's part of the reason its one of the few vehicles on the road where the owners wave at each other.

If you've never owned a jeep, you wouldn't understand even if I tried to explain it to you

I have never owned one, nor driven one (a Wrangler anyway). What I'm looking for is an owner that can somehow quantify this "thing", even if the description falls short of actually driving or owning one.

Evan, I'll let you drive mine if you want. Watcha doing this weekend?

I might take you up on that, but probably not this weekend. :(

It's kind of like the motorcycle wave that riders do when they encounter one another. Sort of a "recognition" thing... know what I mean?

Yeah I get what the slogan means.

JAG that is exactly the kind of answer I am looking for. Does the fact that they have convertible tops enhance the "thing"?

Although I might not get one as a daily driver, having one "just for fun" would be nice. Normally I don't think Indiana has the kind of weather to make a convertible worth it. It seems like I would use it 3 times a year.
