Well, the "Force" is all about feelings; not thinking, logic, planning, or intellect. It only makes sense that they should finally have a female Jedi. Most people believe women are more in touch with their emotions and have stronger emotions than men. Obviously, women would be the most powerful Jedi. By their own premise, Leia should have been more powerful and more aware than Luke.

Secondly, women are more likely to seek consensus than they are to compete. A woman using the "Force" against the "Dark Side" would change the other's attitude rather than overpower them.

You are obviously sexist and Google would fire you within the hour, after having consulted with their Chief Diversity Officer, if you worked for them.

On the other hand, I might just get in touch with my feminine side and use my Jedi powers to change their minds. :)

Ventris was an apprentice of Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku). She never became a Sith Lord, however.

We just watched the video release of The Last Jedi. I have to say it didn't bear up very well watching it a second time. The dialogue was atrocious. The cuts between geographies and timelines were very choppy and the whole "Codebreaker" sub-plot was entirely unnecessary to this overly long movie.

Still, it didn't have Jar-Jar Binks, or Rick/Coral/Negan....so, how bad could it be?
