I recommend that we all send him a letter of unappreciation for this. Perhaps if we overwhelm him with some 2a love, he may be at least less likely to give us this double talk crap! Use the link in my signature.
Sounds like a great idea!

Andre Carson has no doubt had several less than cordial messages relating to RKBA including one from me. He's an Obama lap dog who was elected because his grandmother had the political rails greased beyond belief in Indy. As for his LEO experience, he was a state excise officer who may or may not have earned a coveted attendance star. The contact I had at the state advised he was a joke among his peers. My reply called him out about his stance on 2A and his LEO career. Don't expect a response.
It's hard to believe someone with a functional fore brain wrote that self-contradicting statement.

What makes you think someone with a functional forebrain did, Rhino?
Here's his new letter. Same as his old letter...The latest from Andre:
"Thank you for contacting me to voice your concerns about gun violence prevention. The opinions of my fellow Hoosiers are essential to the decision making process as a Member of Congress.
As you may know, I am strongly in favor of having and enforcing sensible laws to keep guns out of the hands of people who are incapable of using them safely and responsibly. In and around my own neighborhood, I have witnessed how gun violence has the power to destroy families and entire communities. These preventable tragedies are unacceptable.
I believe that strong restrictions must be enacted to protect both the public and the Second Amendment rights of all Americans. For this reason, I am a cosponsor of the Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act which would improve our current system of background checks to help prevent violent felons and those with severe mental illness from easily purchasing guns. Rest assured, I make the safety of my constituents a top priority and will continue to monitor this issue as it moves forward.
I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this important issue and I hope you will continue to contact my office on future issues. I encourage you to visit my website at http://carson.house.gov where you can view the latest news and updates about pertinent issues and legislation important to you, or follow me on Twitter @RepAndreCarson. You may also sign up for my weekly e-newsletter The Carson Courier to receive periodic updates on my activities in Indianapolis and in Washington, D.C. As always, my staff and I are here to serve you. Please feel free to contact me if we ever can be of further assistance to you.
"
Actually, I think I may just write ole Carson a letter.
LIE
WRONG
It's hard to believe someone with a functional fore brain wrote that self-contradicting statement.
Just went to his website. He won't respond/acknowledge you unless you enter your zip code WITH 4 digit extension. Must be all those unflattering letters he gets--"pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...GO AWAY and come back tomorrow!!!
I'm glad I read this. As has already been pointed out, most Americans DO NOT register their weapons. And we certainly do not need to enact any further gun control legislation. Cross Andre off the list.
Thanks.
That's so he can tell whether you can vote for him or not, which tells him whether he needs to give a s**t
Which list is that?
Luckily, since they redistricted I no longer have "him" on my ballot. I do still have him on my pity list.
"No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems — of which getting elected and re-elected are number one and number two. Whatever is number three is far behind." – Thomas Sowell
Feel free, but she can't read it. Young Carson is the one in power now, not old Carson.
The only Carson I can think of that had anything akin to wisdom was
Grooooaaaaan!
