Ok had to look at them. Sweet set of Colts.
Part of the short-lived "Enhanced" line of the early 90's...from what i read and hear (lgs counters and gun shows) seems to be a very polarizing era for these.
Why not get an off-the-shelf Dan Wesson ???
Or a Wilson Combat.
There is no fun in that. No challenge. No adventure.
I have 4-5 Colt 1911s and none of them have ever had a problem. Just sayin'

My remarks are to fit/finish/rattle. Have you been deep into them. They are not all that bad but man the ones I have been exposed to were terrible for the price point. For the most part they did run.
If you have them and you like them enjoy them.
I think the guns they are putting out now are the best they've done since the 50's and 60's. They have guns now from basic series 70's to models with all the options. My only concern is they don't try to do too much like Sig and end up not doing anything well. SPFD mil-specs are still a good deal Buds has them for around 600.00 but i've seen them going for as high as 700.00. The loaded series are not much different in price than a similar Colt now. The series 70 repro i've been working on had a nice slide/frame fit and good barrel fit, all I did was add a Harrison bushing and it shot like a match barrel. I think they might still be a little inconsistent though, I could order a SPFD and be fairly confident that the frame/slide fit would be rock solid but buying a Colt i'd shop until I found the best one like I did with my series 70. We all know in the end that adds very little to the accuracy realistically but to me it just shows that little bit of extra quality control and precision.
But you can take them out and shoot them from the day you get them and I heard shooting is not only fun, but it increases your skills faster then having them on a mill at AllenM's.
