5 dead and it looks like Louisville PD put the shooter down. Whole thing kicked off around 830am.
Not surprising to see feds on the scene quickly. Pretty sure their offices are walking distance away.

Sounds like the LMPD guys did a great job, even though the city pretty much turned their backs on them.
The governor praised the quick action of the PD.
Thought it was strange that he added a "despite recent reviews," or something like that? Seems like poor timing to bring in a "but..."

The DOJ says they have reasonable cause to believe that the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government and LMPD have engaged in a pattern or practice of conduct that deprives people of their rights under the U.S. Constitution and federal law.

Apparently so bad that it's appropriate to bring it up when they have saved numerous lives with their immediate response to a mass murderer? While two officers are in the hospital as a result of their heroic action?
The closer we get to elections or when there is a gun bill debate/vote there will be more of these shootings. Find it interesting that the shooters are frequently from the left or left leaning and seem to shoot themselves or get put down by law enforcement enforcement before any real information about them or the cause of the shooting. Be safe my friends.
