I don't get why these so called "regulars" have to give a noob crap about asking a question before researching the site. I'm curious who made you the site police, and if you have some identification to show.

Either answer the question or sthu. Let the moderators do their job.

Newbie bashing by some posters is mod approved .....

    Where is the popcorn?

Sorry if it seemed like I got all fired up, didn't mean for it to come across that way! I'm liking this place more and more with each post I read! I think I'll do a "Open Carry vs Concealed Carry" for my next post, any thoughts... jk :)

Follow that up with a 9mm vs .45 thread... Then you'll have the trifecta complete.

    To the above on handguns...

I was always under the impression that blackpowder cap and ball (not black powder cartridge guns) were all considered "non-guns" by the federal gov't, hence no restrictions on mail-order and the like (ie no background checks, no legal age limits, no restrictions on carry, no bound book requirements by dealers...)?
Same with antiques (pre-1899), hence no FFL required to ship, no bound book requirements...?

Also the reason convicted felons are allowed to hunt with muzzle loaders...
