    Better idea than carving out an exemption. Remove the schedule 1 classification for cannabis and make it legal nation wide.

    Easier said than done, I know.

    If you want to smoke the stuff, make sure nothing in that regard ever goes on paper...

    When Hawaii made marijuana legal for medical use, they required medical users to be reported to the state. They then compared the database of medical marijuana users with the state database of firearms owners and started sending letters to people who were in both databases informing them they were no longer "proper persons" under federal law and they had to dispose of their guns.

    So states will follow some federal laws and not others, I guess.
