83° up here today, not looking good for mushrooming

Went out today and found some mushrooms and I know they are not morels. Tried to get a picture to post but it just doesn’t work from home. I found some like this in Michigan. Online says they are Gyromitra Korfi

On a sidenote, I really really harbor ill will against whoever thought that multiflora rose was a good idea.

i just walked our woods and found a large patch of it. It’s going to be sprayed No love for it

27 today, they were in decent shape. Steep north facing ridge had them sheltered from direct sun and south winds.

i don't think they are done yet.....warms night will make them pop....

Just put horseradish mustard on a fried one, wow! That was good, highly recommend it.

I stumbled on 4 last night on top of the hill in the middle of my hay field. They were in direct sunlight. The only thing on this hill is grass and a walnut tree which is about 50-60 feet from where I found them. I have never found them in a hay field before. I checked my woods for almost a hour last night and didn’t find any.

we have plenty of water and had a couple of warm nights, gotta think they are going to start popping.

Found about a dozen today. mostly french cap and blacks with a few grays

Me and a coworker were talking yesterday, neither of us have found a snake head/ pecker head mushroom in years. Any of you seeing them?

Snake head / pecker head = French cap aka dog pecker
found about 6 yestrday

I'm not good at posting pics, but here is a link to a pic of the mushrooms my son found Fri. at Bloomington I think he said 124 and he left several that were to far gone.
