No 1911 trigger is good from the factory. Except Brown and Wilson.

I feel the same way but some are better than others. My TRP runs fine for what I use it for. The other 1911's in the safe have been loved on to suit me but I am a rock ape (Shooting style) by some folks standards and a jeweler by others.
The R-1's I have fondled just felt mushy. Not clean on the break. Yes, they can be cleaned up but only a very few do this in their own shops/garage's.
I have done a few of my own but find it worth the effort to get the piece into knowledgeable hands. I am just a bit short of having all the spec. tooling I would like to have.

Like Les Baer for example! The trigger on my Baer is outstanding!

    Love those guns! :yesway:

Factory triggers are lawyer triggers. ;) I do have high standards, I do all my own trigger work. :D

Hah, I see what you did there...

I think if I had your trigger sensitivity it would be VERY expensive for me, but I would love the end result. For now I suppose ignorance really is bliss?
