I have an LCP as my "politically correct" carry gun (i.e. when you can't carry a larger gun due to clothing restrictions - weddings, funerals, swimsuit and etc.). I have been looking to upgrade and this might be it but, has anyone seen the size specs - compared to an LCP / LCP 2? I keep reading it's "close to" the same size.
Where would you put an LCP when you have a swimsuit on?

Front pocket carry with a trigger guard cover thingy almost ten years now. Never worried about it. On the off chance it could go off (same chance as in a full holster), my other knee is more at risk than my junk.
Same here. Use a leather pocket holster and carry a spare mag in my other front pocket.

I will definitely be checking both the new Max pistols out.

I have a gen 1 that is always on me. Not sure how much bigger the 9 is over the 380, but I will be finding out

That comparison site is really cool! Everything you read says the new Max is the same size as the II, but that site shows there is a difference.
I’m a full-time wheelchair user and ankle carry is the best option for me. I currently have a Ruger LC9s, but I’ve been looking for something even smaller and the LCP II has been at the top of the list. The extra capacity is appealing, but if size is most important to me, I may just end up with the LCP II. Now to find some .380 ammo…….

As a LCP owner I would think that as much as I would like the extra rounds the added weight would take away its greatest virtue.

So LCP II is .91 width and the LCP MAX is .81 width? Something doesn't seem right.

Yeah, I'll be getting one of these. My only 380 is a Glock 42, which I really like, but I don't see a reason to ever carry it if I can get smaller and lighter with 10 or 12 round mags vs 6 or 7 round mags. My whole reason for even having a 380 is for deep concealment where light weight and small size is of prime importance. Won't be selling my G42, but it will be relegated to the back of the safe. As long as the LCP Max runs well, the G42 , for my purposes, is obsolete.

I'll be getting one too as the Max has much better sights and looks like what might be a more comfortable grip as compared to the LCP II which I have . Add to that a significant upgrade to capacity.

The size of my G42 is more like that of my P365. It is one I'll hang on to it but I have never carried it as a defense gun.

Max is a tad longer in the grip. Max has “ears” at the end of the receiver to help operate the slide. Max trigger is about the same as the 2 when I got it. Have since installed a MCarbo spring set on the 2. Hoping the springs will fit the Max. Both are excellent shooters but love the new sights on the Max.

Thanks for the comparison pictures! The LCP Max is at the top of my "to buy" list. Hopefully I will be able to find one soon. Time to start loading some 380.

Called my local dealer after thinking about it for a few days. He sold “the one Ruger allotted him” (his words) yesterday. Wanted $430. At least I got my name on the list for when he gets another.

That’s a good price. But by the time I drove to the nearest Cabelas, I would have put 100 miles on the vehicle and taken probably 3-4 hours. Now if I happen to be in the area, I will have to stop in

Great comparison pics. I currently carry a gen I with Hogue grip and 7 round mag. So the Max looks to be almost identical in width and such as my setup. No brainer to switch.
