You probably should get the 10mm, because that is what you want. Trying to talk yourself out of it won't satisfy the itch.

Reload? 10mm if you want to be exotic

No Reload? .45acp because shot placement (practice) is more important than power

For some reason im really intrigued by the 10mm and have been telling myself that would be my next purchase, but now that im getting close to buying i wonder if i shouldnt get a .45 instead? If i go with the .45 ammo is pretty much available anywhere in my area as to where 10mm not so much, but it is around. Any thoughts on this?
    I want a 10mm also . Preferably a 1911 in 10mm

if you reload,no reason to not get a 10mm.

if you are looking for ammo thats readily available everywhere, 45acp.

if you are a manly man, both. ONE IN EACH HAND!

.45 acp, cheaper and easier to find good defensive ammo, and even if you reload cheaper components, practice loads run at lower pressures which will reduce wear and tear, and you can get upper level +P .45 acp loads that can approach 10mm levels of energy

I have both and prefer the 45. It's easy to handle and the ammo is easy to find. The feel of firing the 10mm is close but the ammo is hard to get.
