    Could be anywhere
A pat on the back as all others have given. My father would dearly like to go there...and to Korea but that's probably not going to happen so the vicarious visit is much appreciated. At least he got to do an honor flight to the WWII memorial.

Certainly WW2 vets are treated like rock stars over here.
I had the honor of meeting some vets (Canadian ones) last year.
They had a tour bus with a police escort.
People wanted to give them hugs and take pictures with them everywhere they went.

It's not that Parisians don't like Americans, it's that they don't like anyone who's not from Paris.
They are rude to their fellow Frenchmen from other regions too.

    LOL!

    Sounds like New Yorkers!

We have people like that to.

Thank you for the pictures of the final resting place for our fallen heroes. Now when those idiots take a knee disrespecting our flag these pictures should be shoved in their faces and should be told: But for these heroes you would not even be here! God Bless America! Peace.

Very cool photos. thanks for sharing. I would love to visit. Ill probably never make it in the winter though.

I have always found it interesting that the grave markers are crosses and the markers at Arlington are not.

    Thanks again.

    They are not all crosses.

    Not sure about other religions.

In French WW2 cemeteries Muslim soldiers get a different stone.

In US cemeteries if the religion is unknown, like for unknown soldiers, they get a cross anyway.

I’ve always loved how fresh snow can silence everything around you. In such a solemn and sacred place, I can image it would even seem amplified.
