I find it interesting that the .gov is phasing out the payments for any non digital x-ray. Prompting hospitals to buy all new ( highly priced) digital X-ray equipment.

    More revenue!

Makes sense. The world has gone digital. Now you can carry around your own x-rays rather than have that nasty receptionist give you a dirty look when you asked her to send them to your specialist.

I have not seen an actual x ray in many years. Starting about 15 years or more ago I was astounded (John Campbell style) to see digital images moments after the x ray.

And if that comes with standardization and digitization of the interminable paperwork that doctors seem to want for any new patient; and I can simply present my thumb drive/storage device/cloud download and be done with it, woo hoo! Win!

I can already do this here in OH for any office running EPIC

CR is an xray in digital format, but is no longer acceptable to the .gov for reimbursement. Actual film xray has not been used in over a decade in most cases.

I hope you haven't had to have a lot of them. But I'm willing to bet some may have been a computed radiography.

Texas leads 20-state lawsuit against Obamacare

...In a 20-state lawsuit filed Monday in federal court, Attorney General Ken Paxton argued that after the passage of the GOP's tax plan last year — which also repealed a provision of the sweeping legislation known as "Obamacare" that required people to have health insurance — the health law is no longer constitutional...

Republicans did. We were short a few votes due to RHINOs though. We should learn from this.

The same with allowing Donnelly to be elected. No Donnelly would have meant no Obamacare...:twocents:

OF COURSE NOT! They're all a bunch of liars, it just depends upon which side of the fence you sit as to whose lies you like to hear.

They complicated the whole thing. Instead of a "repeal" these idiots did a "repeal AND REPLACE!" They knew there would be problems with it, but they pushed it anyway.

They could pass it today if they wanted! All they have to do is pass one (1) bill that says, "As of Jan 1st, 2023 the Affordable Care Act is repealed." Boom! Done. It would give time for some cooperation on each side of the aisle to come together and improve the healthcare system, but they won't.

    Cowards all.

    Regards,

    Doug

    Always follow the money

That's what this is about. Ain't no way any Chamber-o-commerce Republican would **** up the cash cow that is the US crony capitalist health care system, designed to extract the most money from consumers.

It means money and power for both those that tend to pass laws that lean towards monopoly and those that subsidize demand.

They complicated the whole thing. Instead of a "repeal" these idiots did a "repeal AND REPLACE!" They knew there would be problems with it, but they pushed it anyway.

For years the right wing think tanks have been saying that the Republican's ideas to do the replace was to deregulate the private insurance market by allowing companies to sell plans across state lines, which would make it more competitive and incentivize states to rollback requirements for what services should be covered. Another thing they could have done was force the pharmaceuticals to charge the same price in the US as they do overseas so they stop driving up costs by ripping off Medicare's deep pockets. But no... Republicans were deer in headlights when it came time to make legislation. They really want Obamacare because they'd rather take the dirty money from the pharma lobby.

No border wall. No healthcare reform. No swamp draining. No CCW reciprocity. They pass a tax cut nobody asked for that increases the gap between the super wealthy and all of us. What a FAIL this Congress was. I'm call Republicans in the House got their butts kicked because they didn't deserve to be reelected.

I think it's possible that the young healthy people who traditionally did not buy health insurance are unaware that the mandate is not longer law. Once they cancel and stop buys, things are going to unravel pretty quickly.
