I have several hand guns but when I feel like going out and touching off a few rounds I always gravitate to my CZ 75B .40 or I put on my .22 adapter and shoot on the cheap.

I have a 22 Kadet Conversion kit for mine as well. Its amazing to shoot with the 22 kit installed because the sights never leave the target, there is just ZERO recoil.

I shoot cheap 22 ammo, with pretty good results. I do get the occasional misfeed/jam, but its worth it. They recommend using premium 22lr ammo. What type of 22lr ammo do you shoot in yours?

Plastic pistol porn incoming... I just mounted the Viridian C5L to my SP-01 Phantom. It fit beautifully and works and looks GREAT. Can't wait to get this lean, mean fighting machine to the range. I'll post a couple pic's tomorrow.

Ya know, to me they honestly look like a loose copy of the 1911. So that would make the 1911 the most copied design in the world. ;)

They may have a slight resemble to a 1911, or many other semi autos, but that is where the similarities end. The CZ 75 is a SA/DA gun that can be carried in DA mode or Cocked n Locked. It uses a double stack mag vs single stack of the 1911. I love my Colts but also love my CZs.... :yesway:

PS; I have a few Witness pistols that are close copies of the CZ and they work pretty well too. :twocents:

Those make me want to move the 75 up a few notches on my wish list. I have a CZ100 in .40:

I mentioned it in a different group, but I am the happy owner of a CZ P-01. I purchased it new, from a fellow LEO who bought it and then decided that he wanted a .40 cal instead.
At the time I knew very little about the CZ line but the CZ felt good in my hand and the price was right, so I went out on a limb and bought it.
I need not have worried. This CZ is by far the most accurate of my 9mm handguns.
When I took it to the training center for the first time I was using some cheap Remington 115 grain FMJ rounds I bought at Walmart.
I shot the CZ at a single bowling pin that the Range Officer had tossed onto the sandy backstop and was very surprised, and pleased, that every round I fired struck the pin, center of mass, where the sights were pointed. The Range Officer took a turn and had the same results. He, like myself, had never fired a CZ before and both of us were impressed!
Now mind you, this bowling pin was only thirty feet distant, but never once did either of us kick up any sand around the pin with missed shots.
The recoil with these 115 gr rounds was mild.
However, comma, when I loaded it with some 147 gr +P hollow points the recoil was quite "snappy", but not at all disconcerting. And again, the P-01 shot to point of aim and grouped very well indeed.
If there is a drawback to the P-01, it is that it is all steel and outweighs polymer-framed 9mms of the same size.
Would I sell this P-01? No! That is out of the question.
Do I carry it off duty? Well, no..I don't.
And as an aside. I later fired this P-01 at a bowling pin placed 100 yards downrange and was able to "tag" the pin seven out of ten shots with ease.
Of course I did this off a sand bag.

My synopsis is that if I had to keep just one 9mm, the CZ would be the Keeper.
My Glocks can't even begin to compare.

You need to lose that nickle plated sissy pistol and buy a glock....

Ok just kidding. That sure is purddy.

Anyone familiar with the EAA witness care to tell me. The EAA website says that there are conversions for 45, 10mm, 9mm, .40, and .22. How well does that work? Is it really one frame do it all?

I just got a Witness Elite Match and for me that was one of the selling points, the guys at CZ forums seem to like the conversions. The one caveat is that I've been told that my Match will need sent in for fitting, since it's a hand-fit gun already, the conversions should work without it, but results will not be as good. The new guns since 2008 (from what I've read) all use the same Large frame, so all caliber conversions they make can be used.
I haven't gotten a conversion myself yet, but definitely something I plan on doing in the future, probably in .45 and .22

It depends. With the newer ones yes, they went to one frame size for the whole Witness line. My Witness is older, 1999, and has a smaller frame that was used for the 9mm and .40 cal. pistols. The .45 and 10mm used a larger frame. I can get a 9mm or a .22 conversion for mine. I actually like the smaller polymer frame on my pistol, as it fits my hand a bit better. It's been a wonderful pistol so far, and has been very accurate.

If you go to the EAA website there is a place to order the conversions, and it'll tell you what can go on which frame. I thought (but I don't know for sure) that the 9mm was still on a smaller frame then the 45 ACP.

Just received my first C&R purchase. CZ82. Will post pictures when I get new grips for it. Have not even shot it yet. Had a P07 Duty, wish I still had it, great gun.
