Hmmm, if the same person, it appears Devan Wallace Craig was convicted of theft of a firearm from a vehicle back in March in North Vernon, IN as well?

Defendants avoid jury, plead guilty - North Vernon Plain Dealer Sun - North Vernon, IN

Appears suspended sentences, probation, and community service work well?

I take it theft of an M-16 from a Police car doesn't count as community service.

Devan Wallace Craig was sentenced to theft of a firearm, an F6, and unauthorized entry to vehicle, a B misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 18 months with 39 actual days credit and was to serve 6 more days before being put on probation for 15 months. He must complete 40 hours of community service by Jan. 24, 2020.
