In the process of shifting to Imgur. Looks like 322 photos in my photobucket.
Some will never get to new site. I do believe my can of spam will come over. It is the coolest when the guy get's in and starts posting the weight loss and viagra ad's.

Tried the PB android app... useless to me unless they changed it since then. all you could do was upload to your base library, couldn't even see subfolders, lots of issues, useless to me.

I've had PB going on 12 years now. They've done a few bonehead changes to the interface and the ads went up and up and up...and up and up....and up... Unfortunately I've been linking pics on forums for all 12 of those years (back in MY day you couldn't host the pic on the forums!) so my hotlinking bandwidth lasts about 12 seconds. Not to worried about preserving the pics, I've always kept local backups, photobucket's for sharing, not storing (for me). but I've uploaded and shared my last pic there.

I'm wondering if one would go into PB and delete a bunch of stuff whether it would go back to normal?

Doubtful, the slowdown is due to the ads. My home bandwidth is pretty lousy so the website was basically useless to me unless I'm at work with the corporate ad-blocker and bookoo bandwidth.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken. I think that this site (INGO) down sizes posted photos? That or Photobucket is doing it?
I have noticed that, sometime over the past year or so, that large photos are smaller when I return to the page later on.

I haven't checked INGOs settings, but I know that on several other forums there's a setting in your profile options to resize pics over a certain size.

I got a b*tch note from them yesterday saying that I am loosing it for third party posting, but it still looks like I can post from there?? I will be looking for other options too. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot. I'd opt to join but the service has been running so poor lately. They will be dead to me shortly.

I just deleted my PB account. Choose other and told them why I closed it.

I have my new web server running, an app to upload and resize to that site on demand, so I'm set. I just need to install a gallery app to be able to view my pics by thumbnail.

    Free photo hosting sights?

I have always used photobucket to host my pictures (even though it sux) online so I can post images to INGO. However, it appears now that they have changed their format and are now charging to be able to post images to 3rd party sites. So I need a new place to host images for free.

    Any suggestions?

    I switched to imgur

Tried tinypic for a half hour, the phone app was driving me crazy and the site was meh

App for imgur needs some work but the site itself is very easy to use
