49 years young now. Started Carrying a 1911 and then a Beretta 92 as a soldier. K frame S&W as a cop, KFrame snub as a Fed, then the Glock19, SIg 228, and now a Sig 229. Off duties have been a Colt DS which was retired, and now an SP101. Undercover guns have been a .44 bulldog or a COLT mustang Pocketlite.

I love revolvers and autos, but I carry what seems to fit the "job" that day.

    60. G26. Taurus 24/7 Pro. Taurus 709 Slim. Depends on the weather and the duties for the day.

I tried the SP101 in .357mag to start shooting, using .30 ammo for training. Found the trigger pull was too long and too stiff. I could not hold it not he target.

Tried the G26 and now have no use for a revolver other than target practice. Thinking about picking up a Cowboy replica revolver in .22 or .357, but only if I can swap the G26 and only for range time. No way I would carry a revolver.

I'm 28 and I carry a semi-auto. I think there are more advantages to carrying a semi than a revolver. But I'd like to find a good cheap .38 special to carry as a BUG.

I will admit OCing a revolver would just look Bad Ass.

21 and the S&W686+ is never farther than a foot from reach. The P229 and 226 also make frequent appearances on my body, but even when they do, the 686 is there too. If I need more than 7 rounds of .357mag, it's my own fault for getting myself in that situation.

I'm 39 and don't see a poll option for "both". I ALWAYS carry my sp101, but usually carry an XD.40SC also. The sp101 is all I have that I can conceal IWB comfortably until the day I finally find a IWB holster for the XD that I like.

    2 is 1 and 1 is none....

Nearly 47, don't even have any revolvers, and don't plan to. I have a variety of automatics, but wind up carrying a double stack .45 1911-type mostly. Lots of steel and a hammer.

    Early results:

    13.3% of younguns prefer revolvers.
    17.9% of middle-agers prefer revolvers.
23.0% of old farts prefer revolvers.

Early takeaways. I expected the percentages to go up as shooters got older. But perhaps more than what is actually occuring? Also, I'm surprised that 13% of the young guns prefer revolvers.

I'll be 50 in November, started carrying years ago and it was revolver only, now I only carry semi-autos, they are slim, light weight and easy to conceal.

We are all creature of habits. The more training you do in a specific task the quicker you can become...agree. There is a difference with fine motor skills and gross motor skills, meaning 1 to 2 steps versus 5 - 6 steps. If you are in a bad situation and you have to reload from a revolver you have to open the cylinder turn the revolver and dump while you are grabbing your spare ammo (hopefully you have a speed loader). Now with my semi auto, I hit the release and am doing a speed reload.

Some people are saying that well I can do this with my revolver with my eyes closed and you probably can but in a bad situation you mind does funny things involved with stress and you have a tendency not to focus on your target.

I love both types of weapons and would not give up either. Just food for thought.
