Ok I need some help. We had a glitch today, well a major glitch. When we went to sync the Kindles, my squads scores were gone. It looks like we never shot the match.

Any ideal if we can recover them? We reviewed and saved each time a shooter was scored. I have no ideal how that happened.

Edit to add-We lost 3 whole squads now. The Kindle comes on says something about Fabric being initialized, then the match score are gone.

We had a similar problem last fall with Practiscore.
It would be nice to know the version of Practiscore that you are using
What kind of match it is.
We had problems with 1.2.22 and steel challenge matches.
Practiscore is currently working on 1.2.27 which will have a change in entering time.

We are using 1.2.26 and it was a USPSA match.

So what was the problem. Is it a glitch in the system, user error or a wrath of God type of thing?

Do you have an app called fabric or twitter on the Master Kindle?
I think that may have interfered with the operation of that kindle.
There is a button on the kindle that can go to default state on the Kindle that could have accidently pushed.

Now we might be getting somewhere.....right before the kindle that my squad was using lost all the scores, a small box popped up and said "Kindle Fabric initializing" then when I went to check the scores, they were gone. But I looked and did not see an app called Fabric.

We need a kindle expert that knows what that pop up box "Kindle Fabric initializing" means.
I still think there is an app that is doing it. Whatever app it is not compatible with Practiscore.

it is a script, it is probably part of the Practiscore app. It may be used for telling the kindle to sync the local(master) to the Slave devices or it could be to the practiscore server.

I wonder if it would be possible for Practiscore to backup its own data on each Kindle/Nook so that when an error or overwrite occurs during a synch, the original data could still be recovered afterward?

Or it might do this already?

I think you're right because it keeps track of all of the changes to scores.
