    This setup works really well for us keeping squirrels away from the feeders. It might work for raccoons too.

    Well, the paste eating booger picker I caught with no bait wasn't a keeper, probably just past juvenile, and I didn't have the time or energy to mess with one that small, so I took him to a park and attempted to release him in the woods. I say attempted, because the mental midget doesn't just get captured with no bait, he couldn't escape with the door wide open. I swear, I locked the door open and he just sat there for about 5 minutes, contemplating whether freedom was preferable to being eaten. I think I raised the raccoon IQ in the neighborhood significantly.
