Raccoon getting into my bird feeder

We got all our raccoons with pieces of fruit that had fallen from the trees.

This setup works really well for us keeping squirrels away from the feeders. It might work for raccoons too.

Well, the paste eating booger picker I caught with no bait wasn't a keeper, probably just past juvenile, and I didn't have the time or energy to mess with one that small, so I took him to a park and attempted to release him in the woods. I say attempted, because the mental midget doesn't just get captured with no bait, he couldn't escape with the door wide open. I swear, I locked the door open and he just sat there for about 5 minutes, contemplating whether freedom was preferable to being eaten. I think I raised the raccoon IQ in the neighborhood significantly.

He visited the fishies for 5 minutes or so. He's now mostly buzzard poop.
