    Couldn't have said it better, buddy! He was an American icon and such a good example for our young American citizens.....

    He sure did. He was still parachute jumping in his mid 80's. Truly a blessed man. A WW2 pilot that survived being shot down.

    He raised 2 son's that would be governors and one later a President.

    RIP sir. I know you are now back with your lovely wife in heaven. I know he had to be really missing her.

    I salute him as a true war hero from The Greatest Generation, but I scorn him for his tirade over "evil looking weapons" which gave us the MAK-90s and others with the fabled Bush-hole stock.

    class act. Disagreed with his politics a bit but he seemed to do it for the right reason in his mind.
