I recently picked up a sr-22 rifle from a member. It is the perfect 10/22 for me. I’ve always been bad to get A regular 10/22 and waste a ton of money on “upgrades” and end up no happy with it. This has everything I need and seems nicer than any other combinations of aftermarket stuff that I have. I will upgrade trigger but beyond that will remain just like this.

It’s a rifle I had never seen in person and only read about online and seen on YouTube.

The beauty of the 10/22 is it's versatility and the wide range of aftermarket parts and mods available. Sadly, many variations went away when the .17 caliber conversions lost popularity. 10/22s chambered in .17 HMR & .17 HM2 are a hoot!

I cleaned my 10/22 up and lubed it, getting it ready for the forth.
I was cleaning the reciever and found a few not so smooth places where the bolt operated.
I took some 3000 grit wet/dry sandpaper to the inside of the reciever and sanded it down smooth. I also sanded the bolt. With both sanded to a very slick finish the bolt really slides nicely inside now.
I'm looking forward to see if it preforms better after that bit of work.

I have considered this for the kids' receivers. They are both rather rough inside.

I give credit to ChurchMouse for imparting that bit of wisdom to me.
He basically told me to do that on any surface that was showing wear. It was for my RIA 1911 10mm.
I've decided to apply that to all my firearms. I've nothing better to do right now so I took time, and gave it a good going over.

    Not far from the tree
A guy told me that you can take off your old barrel on a 10/22 and send it to a gunsmith , and he can put a BENZ chamber on your old barrel and it will be like a target barrel.Has anybody heard of that ? might be a plan ?
Connecticut Precision Chambering. If he's still in business, he's the real deal. A shooter and the ones he did for me were a major improvement from the stock performance.

What barrel is that? Trying to decide on either picking up an after market threaded barrel or just having mine threaded.
I don't know about that barrel in that pic, but I picked up a new 10/22 rifle straight from Ruger, with a threaded barrel.
    Then changed the stock.
