The wood stock did you add that later, refinish it, or did it come from the factory. That's a nice looking stock.View attachment 175047
My old target rig. GM heavy taper 19" w Volq hammer and Titan stock.
Put SK match at .4 at 50 yards (5 shots).
Hated the vertical grip so parted it out.
The old fingergrooves are my fave.
Have had a couple, one factory checkered (too nice to hunt with, did .75" w just a Volq hammer swap running CCI Blazer- 50 yards for 5 shots)

The Blackhawk Axiom stock is a neat stock, though. Super duper lightweight. Makes them fun(ner) to shoot. I put one on my kids' to lighten the front when they were little. My 13yo daughter still prefers that to the original wood stock.I am really unimpressed with those magpul stocks. I put one on my Kidd-barreled 10/22 and it's like a wet noodle. Not worth the upgrade.
I kinda want to try the Bergara made 10/22 clone

Not bad if it has all the bells and whistles you want.
depends on the shooterThat's does look nice and bergara makes good stuff but why not have an adjustable comb? If it has rails, you're putting a scope on it which means you need a higher comb right off the bat so you're either drilling this stock for an aftermarket riser or swapping it out altogether.
depends on the shooter
I do fine without one on a stock 10/22, but I do have one on my modified one.
Probably because most people A) aren't target (competition) oriented & B) most don't & won't understand the value in such things and will not pay the extra.......I have enough wrapped up in my adjustable butt stock I could buy a 10/22 with optic and money left over to buy ammo.........That's does look nice and bergara makes good stuff but why not have an adjustable comb?
