Presser just said the shooter was recovered with the wounded. He is an Asian "in grave condition."

Recovered a 45 caliber handgun. Empty.

The shooter turned 16 years old today.

There is video of the whole thing. From the draw to the suicide attempt.

Fox News reporter just said it was a single gun and a limited amount of ammunition which is unusual... Really??? Doesn’t that describe most shootings?

Since this is in Los Angeles County Commiefornia, with most likely the strictest firearm laws in the country, this could not have happened.

And this underage shooter allegedly used a cal .45 handgun, proving that "assault weapon" bans work.

Looks like he drew, shot a small group of people in his immediate area, then blew his brains out and wound up brain dead in the hospital instead. Police failed to figure out the guy gurgling on the floor with the empty .45 next to him was the shooter, leading to the wild goose manhunt. In fairness to any resource officer who may have been at the school, it sounds like it began and ended faster than any response could be expected.

Whoever owned the gun is sweating bullets, California is about to jack them up.

Asian kid with a handgun in a state that just signed more sweeping gun control a couple weeks ago, I'm expecting this story to disappear from the media promptly.

This was my thought as well. But it doesn't appear to score appropriately enough on the intersectionality scale to be a sound enough pivot point. But then again, we'll see...

Also, don't sell the sales job short a good spinner could do with California's laws. A slick enough pol could concentrate on the angle that had CA's laws not been as they are, imagine how many more guns and ammo he could have had and how many more people could have been killed. Why it's a blueprint for minimizing school shootings.

I think this is wishful thinking. Day 1 led to the another person being dragged in to testify behind closed doors; not to mention, the Democrats are quite realistic about what this process is supposed to accomplish... and removal isn't it.
