Sig Pro 2022 = Great investment. After buying this gun I'm pretty sure I'm set on handguns for quite a while, unless I bump into a CHEAP, reliable 1911. ;)

Rock island armory 1911s... you can thank me/curse me later. I said I was done too then I got my MKII back and bought a ruger sp101. You are never truly done.

Well, I did it. Here it is, in all its bone stock splendor. This thing feels like a tank compared to my PF-9!

Hopefully I can make it out to a range sometime this week. Perhaps a member would be interested in taking me as their +1 to MCF&G on Tuesday? I'd like to check that place out now that I have something to shoot out there...

I'd like to hear what you think of it after you get a chance to shoot it. I think this is going to be my next purchase.

I shot my SP2022 yesterday for 100 rounds. It was a great feeling gun to shoot, after shooting .45 9mm feels like a bb gun out of this thing. No failures, no issues at all.

+1 to Ranger supply for the deal.

i have a 2022 in .40 cal that is top notch.

It's never hiccuped and shoots a lot straighter than I can.

It never comes out of the safe much anymore, but I'd trust my life to it.

I like everything about it except for breaking it down to clean. Than damn pin you have to push out is a pain in the cock.

:yesway: +1, but I don't think it's too difficult to break down. I've only put a couple of mags through it, but I really really like it.

the break down is pretty simple, it is all in how you grip it to pop the pin. I tuck my thumb under the grip horn and hold the slide with my palm and pull back and pop the pin with the free hand.

Not trying to one-up you DarkShadow, but at PSS near indianapolis I bought one with the sig glow sights for $449 (with sales tax $480).

Only get one mag though. And additional mags won't be cheap.

It would cost me all the extra $35 in gas to get to Indy. But good place for those who live down there. Also depends on when you bought it too, they were being sold by Palmetto earlier this year for I think $369.

I've wanted to get one of these for a while. Something else always catches my eye and then I see one in a case after I bough the other thing and then I'm like "crap, that's what I wanted"

Well fellas, I got mine out to the range today. All I can say is, if you don't have a Sig, you need one of these. What a pleasure to shoot. I ended up going to Pop Guns and put 130 rounds down range. I believe 115 of the cheap Federal stuff from Wal-Mart, and 15 rounds of the +P Winchester PDX self-defense ammo. Not a single hiccup whatsoever.

My best group of five rounds were all touching each other, about two inches southwest of the bull. I also did five two-to-the-torso and one-to-the-head groups with all bullets but one head shot hitting. I was pleased.

I picked up some A-Zooms and a Fobus SP11B while I was there. I decided to put the Fobus to use and OC the rest of the day. All in all, it was my best day off in a while! :rockwoot:

palmetto has them for $379 right now.

Yeah thats a great price, but really not much more to buy local after shipping and fees. $389 shipped for contrast sights + $25 FFL fee at most places, sometimes up to 50 depending on location. Id spend the extra $10 and buy local. I understand their is sales tax, but imo its unfair to punish the local guys for something they cant control.

Besides, technically you are supposed to claim out of state purchases where no sales tax was taken on your tax return anyway :) I mean right we all do that :)
