I am looking to carry 9mm for the summer months and only have double stack and don't know a lot about single stacks. Can anyone suggest some quality single stack 9mm's that aren't quite as big or bigger then a XD9? I want something thinner and a little smalle frame to reduce printing when wearing only a t-shirt.

    Thanks

    I have a CASPIAN 9MM with a fitted 38 SUPER barrel:rockwoot:I can shoot either caliber:yesway: It's a commander size:twocents:

I had one of these. With it's glock-copy trigger safety, if I held my finger just right, it was a fantastic trigger pull. If I wrapped my finger around like I usually do, it made a couple clicks with no even energy, then went off. Me no likey.

As the others have offered, if you want to fondle my PM9 around NW Indianapolis area, pm me!

I saw someone mention a Sig P239, its a great gun and extremely accurate, but way too heavy for concealed carry.

If you can find an old EAA Escort take a look at it. They are metal framed and about as thin as I have ever seen a 9mm. The grip is still big enough to actually control the shot. I do not think they import them any more.

    Personally, I whole-heartedly recommend the Kahr CW-9.

And the new CM-9 seems to be quite promising, too.

The Ruger LC9 intrigues me a great deal, but they're still to "new" to the market. Ruger hasn't exactly instilled any confidence in me considering 2/3 of their most recent pistol releases have had recalls on them. I'm just waiting for the recall announcement on the LC9. I honestly hope it never comes.

The 3rd gen S&W pistols mentioned: Yes, they're single stack. But they're not all that much smaller / lighter than the XDsc if you're familiar with how big those are.

If money isn't of much concern, then there's also the Walter PPS, which is probably the best-made non 1911 single stack pistol on the market right now.

The new lc9 is acually a little bigger and heavier than the pf9. The new 9mm to watch out for is the cm9. It should be priced in the low to mid $400 dollar range. It's just a little bigger than LCP 380 but shoots 9mm

Have to agree with this one, though I carry the standard P7 (heel mag release) in my rotation. Reliable, Superbly Accurate, Compact, and built like the proverbial Brick Out House. If you can get used to the unique manual of arms it is a stellar choice!

After looking at the PF-9 that looks pretty good. I will have to find a shop that has one or an Ingo'er so I can try the fit in my hand before I buy. It looks like it will fit the bill nicely.

Might as well get the cw9. They are 3-400 different in price and the only differences are...

    1. cw has cheaper engravings, cant remember which one is rolled.

    2. cw is slightly larger

    3. pm has a hex threaded barrel, dono what the difference is, but if you cant hit your target with a regular thread, I dont see how the hex will help you any.

    4. cw has one magazine included instead of 2

to me... the pm seems like it has less value. 800+ for the pm9 when you can get the cw9 for 400
