I have found out that Phantom's made before 2016 such as BA's now KJ's has a 2mm trigger pivot pin. After 2016 they were changed to a 2.5 mm. At the time that was early in my CZ Cajunizing days and Birds Away could chime in with exactly how early! Anyway at that time they did not have a 85C trigger with a 2.5mm trigger pivot pin hole so I had to drill the pivot pin hole on the new 85C trigger to a little under 2.5 and then use tightly rolled sandpaper to get to the 2.5mm. This was a long time ago it seems and as BA said it is a one of a kind! The other Phantom's I have done since have been made after 2016.
As I mentioned last night to a gathering of special tactical old farts the first Phantom was quite the transformation and is one of if not the best CZ's I have done! The Phantom is different as far as putting it back together because of the sub assembly with the sear cage ,hammer, trigger bar has to go together just right to work. I think I had it apart 3-4 times before I figured it out and this is why I tell anyone wanting to do a CZ themselves that the manual safety gun is easier to do than a de-cocker because of a couple extra tiny fricken springs that tend to take flight never to be found. Then you have the Phantom "The Holy Grail of PITA Cajunazation for a first time job!! All Cajunized CZ's turn out great but you will find that a small number of them turn out more than fantastic! I have been lucky to see some when completed that stand out as really fricken great! On some there is a fine line between great and fricken great and only a true trigger snob will feel it.

    ;)

I was thinking of taking the Phantom apart this weekend to begin the polish work. I am not a fan of dismantling the decockers completely but I do like that the sear pin is engaged in the frame unlike the safety versions that have the sear pin only engaged in the cage. The frame engagement makes them more consistent in my experience.

I had a super sweet P-01 that had a custom cerakote job from Rusty. Fully cajunized with full polishing. It was my favorite CZ of the many I've owned. While I'm rocking all fantastic plastic currently, there is nothing like metal.

That Phantom had me thinking though.

As much as I hate to admit it in this thread, I've got to carrying the G-things for EDC. The CZs and 1911s are my passion but having a block of plastic on my hip each day lets me concentrate on my job and other stuff instead of constantly thinking about how nice the gun on my hip is. Carrying a CZ can be like trying to work with a beautiful bikini clad model sitting on your desk. Distracting...

I have been carrying a Charter Arms Bulldog and a knife special with Glasers in it. Protech Auto.
I would hate to loose the Protech to an evidence locker. The Charter is expendable.

    Very sharp TD!

Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have either of those anymore. I do want to get another handgun, something double stack in 10mm or .45, since I feel content with the three 9mm plastics that I have. The only thing that comes to mind in the CZ world is a 97.

The threat of an evidence locker is what drives my choice in part as well. Plus, not carrying the CZs lets me feel good about tuning them to perfection without the fear of going too light for carry

Seems logical, plus the thought of having a really nice handgun taking the daily beating of being carried in all kinds of weather and environments that can take its toll on it.
