The South Bend mayor's background makes him a solid member of deep the state and the rest of the dc swamp. The beltway companies he's worked for, his education, and associations all place him in the big money game both foreign and domestic. Wonder if he was one of Rajat Gupta's hires during the crash and scandals. People like this see themselves as rulers, not representatives, but as players on the world stage.

This push for socialism lately feels like a result of both group's habit of never backing down, always doubling down, never admitting your wrong. The tribal thing.

I'm afraid when it's all said and done, they'll settle somewhere in the center. By comparison, they'll seem "right" at that point.

Ben Shapiro nailed her on this on his radio show.
She said something to the effect that legislators should be put in a room away from media and be forced to look at autopsy photos of the children that were killed with “assault weapons” and then told to vote their consciences.
Shapiro quipped if you want play the emotional card then those same legislators should be forced to look at photos of aborted fetuses and then be told to vote their conscience as well.
