so, all they have to do is take over comcast and att through some kind of bail out, ya know, for the good welfare of the country, and they pretty well will own literally all the routers and will quite literally also have killswitch power.

Well, it would take a bit more than comcast and att, but basically that's the idea. I doubt they would need to expend that much effort though since they already control the com sats. I think it would likely be more like just changing the satellite encryption keys or something along those lines. Even then there will be plenty of people that figure out a way around it at least enough to keep us somewhat informed.

The kill switch would be a suicide switch for them. Let them hit it. What's happening in Egypt is the result of hitting an internet kill switch. China's hit its own switch to kill all mention of what's happening in Egypt. No doubt news is still getting through, despite their censoring of it. The American government relies on the internet, shutting it down would affect them just as much as it would us. Just goes to show, tho. We're being run by the same type of people as run Egypt and China.

It should be noted: That while O-baby wants this more than he wants to puff down a pack of Marlboros, this is a bill pushed forward by a couple of Senators. One is a "R" from Maine, a "D" from WV, and a "I/D" from Conn.
