+1 for independent pizzerias. Their pizza is better anyway.

Am I seeing a new shirt concept here? -1 Pizza Hut

    THIS!

After the first incident, I stopped ordering from Corp-pizza establishments. I told BersaGirl to not bring any of their pizzas into my house. We found a local pizzaria (Brozzini's) and have been ordering from them ever since.

Their pizza is better, the people are more friendly, and we support local businesses that support our constitutional right to carry.

    It's a win/win.

You do realize they can't pay a whole lot more than 6 or 7 bucks an hour when they are charging $10 for a 5 topping pizza right?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news (aka reality) but entry level jobs and menial jobs that require no skills and only an hour of two of on the job training aren't the sort of jobs you work and expect to raise a family on.

Those jobs are for college kids and the people with double digit IQ's.

Sorry pal but "the world world needs ditch diggers too".

All that happens when we raise minimum wages is the cost of everything goes up and people get laid off.

The people making above minimum wage get screwed because they get no raise and their cost of living goes up.

You want to make more money? Get a better job. Most of these corporations actually offer paid tutition programs so you can go to school while working for them and get an education so you can get a better job.

I've got a much better idea, we get the government out of people jobs and pocket books and the money thats saved by paying federal extorsion fees (taxes) can go towards paying bills.

More Government is never the answer. If it was the economy would be flying higher than ever under Commie-bama and wouldn't have bottomed out under Socialist-Bush.

    +1 to This...

I didn't know that Pizza Hut had that policy. I will no longer be ordering from them again, plain and simple.

Extortion*. Maybe your triple digit IQ doesn't apply to ones ability to spell.

I have a good job..I was simply stating the fact that I once did not and was laid off and had to take whatever was available. I agree with the majority of your post, minus the part where you demean those that do what they must to feed their families.

Take a second to think about the fact that more than your IQ comes into play when finding a job in todays economy.

Pretty weak when you have to resort to being the spelling Nazi. Sorry my phone doesn't have spell check

Not demeaning any one. Simply stating facts. I don't think you agree with the majority of my post which was centered around a basic free market premise...

Take a second to think about the fact that more than your IQ comes into play when finding a job in todays economy.

Honestly, other than checking for spelling errors, did you actually read my post? The short of it: the government got us into this mess and mroe of the same isn'[t going to fix it. Your response to that (which you cannot deny) is that the answer is therefore MORE government meddling.

The only way to reason is by logic. I cannot reason with an illogical premise: "governments been screwing it up for decades and my answer is more government".

Sorry, I'm not subjecting my "triple digit IQ" to that sort of insane leftist nonsense. Nice try though.

When I was a kid, armed security personnel were a common sight. Now they're practically non-existent.

    Why? Corporate mind-set.

Scenario #1: Robber comes into place of business, takes the money and kills everyone in the place.

Result: Big Bucks corporation loses whatever was in the till and has to replace the employees. No one sues them.

Scenario #2: Robber comes into place of business. He is shot by armed employee or by armed security operative employed by Big Bucks Corporation, resulting in robber's death or permanent injury. All innocent people are left alive and unharmed.

Result: Media is all over the mother of the dead dirtbag, who tearfully tells the news media "that mean man didn't haf to shoot mah baby...he wasn't doin' nuffin." Her front lawn is mobbed by lawyers all vying to represent her for the "wrongful death" of her worthless spawn. Big Bucks Corporation is sued and can either take their chances with a jury or give momma a pile of money for giving junior exactly what he had coming to him.

If you were a corporate lawyer advising your client as to whether to allow employees to carry firearms for self-defense, what would YOUR advice be?

We have to face reality here. If any big corporation has a choice as to whether to have the suspect killed or to have their employees killed, it is INFINITELY more desirable, from a business standpoint, to have their employees killed.

And that's how it will stay until sanity is restored to our tort system.
