He is in better health then you? He did enough coke to kill a elephant not to mention all the other drugs he has done, how he lived to be 66 years old is the real question.

I thought it was weird they announced brain dead and pulled plug within a few hours honestly. If you survive a cardiac arrest you cool them for 24-48h and then check

Did you know? Petty escaped death as well as saved his wife and 5 year old daughter when an arsonist tried to set his house on fire. He later wrote "I Won't Back Down" which was inspired by the experience

Either way, I have tears in my eyes (big, tough guy here).... and pray for God's will to be done. Tom Petty is one of the truly good guys of legendary rock.

Personally, just behind David Bowie and Rush, Petty is among my top-revered rock icons.

Definitely seems too young for the man to reach such a conclusion. Hoping for the best for his family.

Not a hard ranking. Bowie and Rush are tied for #1... Petty is just among the top tier of people I respect in the industry. Many from your list are among that area of ranking.
