There is a real problem when moderators cross the line and become debate participants.
I think that very clearly happened in this case. The town hall "moderator" asked 43 questions, the town hall audience asked 10.

I always like to take advice from someone that's never been in that situation, and never had training of any type.
Often, I like to ask a plumber about performing brain surgery. After all, it's just a different form of plumbing, isn't it?
I caught that ridiculous comment as I was switching back and forth between the two town halls.
”Shoot ‘em in the leg” is worse than his double barrel shotgun comment!

I must have changed the channel by that question as that disrespectful witch was about to make me punch out the TV.

But the disrespect shown him by the Moderator was beyond just rude. Like him or not the office is due as modicum of respect. Regardless and that ***** was well off.
No s**t! I was toggling between the two, but seemed from the very beginning she was in attack mode the whole time! I also missed the Navy Seal question, I’ll have to find it.

The contrast between the two was hilarious. Trump ended up debating a shrill harpy that barely let him get a sentence out. Biden ended up meandering while some guy pretending to be Mr. Rogers nodded in reverential silence. And the questions both got asked, damn.

"mmmkey yes mr. vice president, now what is your position on cute puppies, are you in favor?"

I found the entire format and deliver offensive.
Town halls are to allow the
Locals" a chance to ask the man questions not allow some combative disrespectful **** a chance to berate and abuse him.

To anybody that did not see that you really are not a conservative.
sorry Churchy, I had to fix her descriptive. An extreme b***h is actually a c***!

"The idea that an 8-year-old child or a 10-year-old child decides, ‘You know, I decided I want to be transgender, that’s what I think I’d like to be, it [would] make my life a lot easier,’ there should be zero discrimination"

    This dude and young kids......
what kind of “parent” says “my 8 year old is transgender”, and believes it? I say, only one who WANTS it to be true!!!

It's no wonder why Trump does'nt want to debate on their terms when they are already predisposed to stacking the deck against him.

Now imagine what a Zoom debate would have looked like: connection "issues", mic muting, Biden reading off a teleprompter, more opportunity for Democrat operatives to ask questions.

At this point, their contempt for the American people is beyond a doubt.

There's a lot of internet forums out there, no reason to keep torturing yourself.

Torturing? Its fun trying to understand the human condition and flaws we all exhibit. In Trump’s case I find it fascinating what people are willing to endure just so the other side won’t win. Democrats have been essentially the same for what 30+ years? And yet, it seems that beat them, conservatives are abandoning the very things that made them conservatives. I mean if 30 years ago, someone told me that the GOP would be headed by a celebrity, known for hanging around Playmates, cheating on his wives, with a multitude of bankruptcies, and failed businesses, I would have thought them delusional.... and yet, here we are. :dunno:

That is not true. Both sides have become more polarized with “extreme” fringes. If what you say were true, there would not be a “walk away” movement from Democrats. Or even Alpo on here who sees something other than what he was used to seeing in the party. Not saying Trump is a good guy, just saying things aren’t what they used to be.

The “walk away” movement has existed for decades; just under different monikers.

If you would have told me 30 years ago the democrat party was going to come so close to having a socialist as a presidential candidate I would have been surprised too.

I think his point is that Dems. are still liberal, well more so, but the GOP has shed a lot of conservative values in the last four years. There's not a lot that the democrats are pushing that would surprise any of our 1990's selves. Socialized healthcare? Big government? Racist policies? Unions? Climate change? Openness toward perverse sexuality? Gun control? Hostility toward Conservative Christians? All things the democrats have been embracing for decades.

In Trump’s case I find it fascinating what people are willing to endure just so the other side won’t win.
    That's been the tortuous part.

However, there's a difference between enduring and embracing. I find it more interesting to see what people are embracing; and how did that come to take over the GOP?
