It does no good to reply to his idiocy here.

He does not realize, because he will commit treason by breaking his oath, that others will not.

Dana Loesch Question On Gun Control Stops Eric Swalwell In His Tracks

Just a reminder, he wants to ban ALL SEMI AUTO RIFLES.

The man is building a platform for center of attention. It is not a secure place to stand but we are in for a serious fight to maintain our rights.
Seeing that bubba and his ilk are some of our more serious enemys when they shoot family members while cleaning their guns (bull****) and let rounds get out of the range from their absolute lack of intelligent gun handling, we are really in it.

Finally found this again. It's a fun read with many kernels of truth. Trigger warning: Kurt Schlichter

https://townhall.com/columnists/kur...-would-lose-the-second-civil-war-too-n2459833

Democrats, who think history began when Obama was elected, don’t understand the dangerous game they are playing when they talk about how they want to impose their brown shirt vision upon red America. The keyboard commandos of the left seek to hand wave away the massive strategic challenge of imposing control by force upon a well-armed, decentralized citizenry occupying the vast majority of the territory, so they babble about drones and tanks as counterinsurgency trump cards. But there are no trump cards in war. There are men, with rifles, standing on patches of dirt, killing the people trying to push them off.
Let’s talk terrain and numbers. Remember the famous red v. blue voting map? There is a lot of red, and in the interior the few blue splotches are all cities like Las Vegas or Denver. That is a lot of territory for a counter-insurgent force to control, and this is critical. The red is where the food is grown, the oil pumped, and through which everything is transported. And that red space is filled with millions of American citizens with small arms, a fairly large percentage of whom have military training.

From the comments
That could be done now... make a list first though.
Start at the top and work down.
How many in total are Leftist pols, how many Leftist lawyers, Leftist college profs. By the time you get down to local union hacks, and H.S. teachers...well the jobs done.
Need not take too many, for the point to be made. "Not in our backyard".

This guy is seriously channeling Pol Pot, and he is on our side of the argument.

Chicago would capitulate in about two weeks when Rham ran out of food. The city would run out of food in about 3 days, but it would take a couple of weeks before the fat cats were so seriously under attack by their own that they would throw up their hands and surrender.

This would be the case in either scenario. All of the liberal strong holds are extremely easy to cut off from all supplies.

I believe SLBMs are the only leg of the triad that don't need PAL codes, since their primary function is 2nd strike. So it would have to be a boomer, or the president
would have to be on board (although I've long thought that more people than just the president know/can discern the codes)

PALs actually only restrict operation unless certain criteria are met. The devices don't know that an order has been issued they only know that certain electrical, mechanical or physical parameters have been met.
Newer systems also are sensitive to attempts to spoof or circumvent the above processes (hopefully) rendering them inert.

It was a stupid hyperbolic comment that went to the extreme in an attempt to make a point and that is if you resist the governments efforts to disarm you will be outgunned and you will lose (cuz we gots nukes) so you might as well come to the table with us and negotiate some "common sense" gun control measures. (and when that is proven not work we'll confiscate your guns anyway cuz that's what we really want).
****, a drop of common sense in an ocean of stupidity!
Swalwell suggested a buyback or a complete ban.
Stupid idea since he wants to apply it to law abiding gun owners. As if it would change anything to criminality...

Then some knuckle heads get their panties in a bunch and say it would mean war.

To what, this asshat escalated with an hyperbolic statement indeed.

Then said knuckle heads now think a Democrat wants to nuke all gun owners.

Jeez guys, you seriously can’t be THAT dense?

Not to be harsh, new guys. You may have been in the fight for a long time.

Attacks on the 2A are not well met here on INGO. If that surprises you you may be on the wrong board.

He does not have the ability to do **** and we know it. He needs to be outed as an anti 2A POS and marginalized. INGO IS the place for that, and will continue to be, no matter how many Fudds join. They never last.

So he is willing to use all the power of the United States government to TAKE our guns hunh? He is EXACTLY the reason the Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment. A Tyrannical Gov. (Go ahead. But be careful because one way or another the barrel will be hot.)

They can't:

1. protect the border
2. win the drug war
3. beat Afghanistan tribesmen
4. enforce a speed limit more than 1% of the time

**** 'em.

I've heard quite a few regular people, from the Left and the Right, that talk about a revolution like it's something that would take a day or two, and not affect anyone's life.

You know what gets under my skin when these conversations start (not saying anything about you Actaeon, your comment just made me think of it and I happen to have time to comment right now...) is when people start with the the "civil unrest" or "government collapse/SHTF" talk is that people act as if should the Feds lose control, it will instantly be no holds barred anarchy, which seems silly to me.

Government in the United States is like an onion. It has so many layers that if Uncle Sam goes full sclerotic on us, we still have a state governor, state legislature, courts, mayors, county councils, sheriffs, etc. We will not go from a micro-managed US of A to THUNDERDOME overnight! (short of a continental EMP, alien invasion, asteroid strike in the Gulf of Mexico or the like...)

It would be like 1800 again, only with toilets and ARs. Hopefully at least with toilets...
