A buddy and I were talking at work. I said that I believed that most responsible gun owners would choose not to draw attention to themselves, he said that gun owners are cowboys and are all about the bling. So what say you INGO, utility or OMGWTFBBQ look at my ride yo!!!

Only "mods" I've done in the past have been bigger/more aggressive tires. Next vehicle will have lowering springs, tint, exhaust, nicer wheels, and whatever else draws my interest. Body kits, don't do that because only a few I've ever seen look decent (obviously not custom body kits that are molded, most are just ricer Fast & Furious looking). Inside, dvd/gps head unit, upgraded speakers with a 10" sub, and possibly slight custom finishes. No reason in the world to not make the car "yours" and I don't see how customizing a car and owning a gun could be connected.

BTW, IF I were a cowboy I'd probably be spending more time riding a horse than worrying about customizing my vehicle.

I used to be a fanatic about having the best/fastest/coolest/loudest/...est/ ....est/ ...est car or truck. Now I drive a car, it pulls my boat, it reliably gets me from point A to point B...and its paid off

Paid off, reliable, and in good condition = perfect candidates for some customization. No reason not to make something "yours" if that is something you enjoy. Of course with a boat, you have plenty of other things you can spend the money on (depending on if you fish or are into water sports).

Sometimes the choices of vehicle is sufficient in itself.

No modifications to my truck, it gets me around town and sometimes carries stuff. I don't need my vehicle to be an expression of myself to random people on the street. If I'm driving it I'm just looking out the windshield anyway, what do I care if it's got fancy rims or custom anything? If that's your thing though, I can't fault you for my lack of understanding. I probably enjoy things that other people think are stupid as well.

Mine is an 03 F250 SD, diesel,4x4 I pull a large camper and have a tuner on the engine but the truck looks as it did from the factory. I run Michelin tires instead of the more agressive patterns because they get good mileage and ride comfortably.
And by the way it's paid for.

About the only thing I've done to the outside of one was put 50's on the back of my first Mustang. I always put in radios, scanners & such; one car had seven transceivers and receivers, and an antenna farm up top. I do have kalasnikitty on the side window of my new Mustang :) I'd rather spend the money on bullets.

If I had the means... I'd spend sooooooooo much money on vehicles.

Probably a good thing that I don't have the money.
