Dude. That's so easy, I'm still confused as to what makes it so fun. :D

So far as I am concerned, there are a lot of points where he and I agree, and a lot where we disagree. Both of us are strongly entrenched in our views, and I enjoy throwing some levity in when the opportunity arises. As for everyone else, well, your mileage may vary.

About 40% of the country votes consistently for democrats so if they're full blown enemies of the USA then, like T lex said, "the enemy is us". They were getting a well deserved lecture on how the country is doing better under Trumps policies and how bad their policies suck...and getting their noses rubbed in it. So they didn't stand and applaud most of time; so what? They didn't yell and boo either.

As for the REAL internal enemies of the country, I saw that mike moore and crowd were having a "People's" State Of The Union Address. I didn't know that anybody elected them to represent them though. Maybe the communist party?

What? That is false in every reasonable interpretation. Most Americans didn’t vote at all, and of those who did less than half voted for Trump.

Only about 1 in 5 Americans actually voted for the guy, and untold millions only voted for him because of Hillary.

This guy isn’t Reagan, he’s the modern right’s Bill Clinton (but lacking the charisma, legal and political experience, and broad public support).

I'm pretty sure that was seedubs1's point. The :n00b: is the giveaway.

Dude, Kut, I was with you in calling out the hyperbole of calling Dems who didn't stand, "Enemies of the State". Because well, seriously? That happens at every SOTU! And to call someone that because they're not supporting the current President, means 805 of INGO was an enemy of the state from 2009-2016.

Then you went all, "Whatcha gotta mention God for, Trump?"

If we call him out for that then, let's call out the salivating ginger for saying, "God bless America" in his response to the SOTU.

Now, as I was watching the SOTU, I nudged my wife, "See! Democrats hate Americans to have more money in their own pockets!" Her response: .

"God bless America" is hate-filled, racist, nativist, and misogynistic only when Republicans or conservatives say it.

I didn't hear the ginger Kennedy say that... and while, "I" may trust the Christian God, that is not representative of all Americans. I have no issue with a president of faith, speaking on his faith, but I do have issue with a politician assigning his faith to "we" rather than himself.

Okay folks. The original coin of the realm said "Mind Your Business". The follow on "In God We Trust" is a statement of credit worthiness, not religious fervor. Cash, Loan, Barter, Trust...In God We Trust...all others pay cash or have collateral.

I didn't hear the [salivating] ginger Kennedy say that...

From the transcript, at the end.
    ...Out of many. One.

Ladies and gentlemen, have faith: The state of our union is hopeful, resilient, enduring.

Thank you, God Bless you and your families, and God Bless the United States of America.

Let's be honest, you and I both know he's not speaking of his own faith, but the faith of his followers.

I don't think it's improper for a politicians to acknowledge that the USA is primarily a Judaeo-Christian nation, both in terms of history and current make up (incl. all those that pay lip service to God).

Speaking of Mr. Kennedy, did anyone else notice a passing resemblance to Kang & Kodos?

Sooo the pledge of allegiance is due for a revamp? And all money? And the Declaration of Independence speaking of a Creator?

To be fair the pledge we all know and many people love is not the original version. It was changed in the 50s to add the god line.

In fact it's been changed a few times. If we wanted to remove all the god references from money and the pledge I'd be all for it. The fact is we are not a Christian nation. And even the treaty of Tripoli even states as such.

I'll agree most of the people here are Christian, but our government was conceived to be a secular government.

We def don't need to enact any religious control here. That always has terrible results much like communism and socialism. It only breeds despair and suffering.

And in the Declaration of Independence, "creator" is devoid of a religious affiliation, and is referencing the natural rights of man, extended to them at birth.

The Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution, and the BOR are all mute on the subject of a right "to not be offended". One might take that as clue.

But freely allows for criticism, not to be confused with being offended.
