Why the eye roll? it's true. They want it all because they think know better how to [STRIKE]line their pockets[/STRIKE] errrrr spend the money.

Oh yeah, I know it's true, it's her that did a write in for president and always says to me, "Did you see what Trump did? You voted for that guy!"

So I smile, and say, "Yes I did, and I approve." ;)

She's the one that rolls her eyes.

Can anybody pull up that INGO thread that was posted after the one guy stood up and said “YOU LIE!” to he former president during his address? I want to see who believed that was disrespectful. Anyway, I do believe if you are elected, you should be in attendance. You certainly don’t have to clap, but booing crosses the line in my opinion.

EDIT: Looking back at that thread... CarmelHP... he was posting as much as I do, then, poof! He's silent... anyone know?

When I clicked on the link the first time, a different post came up. Anyway, I see we only have a couple of people from that thread still active. There is no telling if the sentiment is the same.

meh. general heckling is not appropriate while good decorum still is... but it's not a church service, and I don't have a problem with an "audible eye-roll" if BS is being called out. Regardless of who is at the podium...

SOTU used to be done through a memo. Then it became a chance to chest thump. If you're gonna stand up there, gotta expect flack for unpopular (or wrong) statements... I'm glad to see our president isn't so revered that people are afraid to express opinion.

was he right or wrong about the chain immigration thing? I honestly don't know. Were they right to boo that statement down?

Enemies of the American people? That's a bit hyperbolic ain't it. You're upset that members of congress stayed seated or didn't show up? I would assume that people have seen SOTU speeches before, but I guess not. Sitting is common, not showing up is rare, but documented.

Leaving because people chanted "USA" seems to sum up the democratic party in a nutshell. They hate this country, they hold such contempt for it that they wanted to take away military widow's income to illegally harbor aliens in the US.

Wherever I see people chanting "USA, USA, USA!" all I can think of is Hulk Hogan fighting the Iron Sheik. The Democrats don't hate this country. If so, Arlington is filled with with a bunch of America haters. Now what is a fair criticism, kinda, is to say that they hate the vision of America that some have; and as such, they are equally valid in saying that people who disagree with them, also hate America. Both notions are ridiculous.

I believe that he is talking about Progressive Socialist Democrat leaders, not the rank and file democrat voter.

I for one do hate what they want to do to America. I love the American dream and with all of it's warts the America i grew up in.

The people in charge are never the ones dying for freedom anyways. That goes for both sides.
The leaders of the Democrat party and their platform is the modern communists.
The republicans leadership are too left for me too.
They are all out of bounds from what the founders wanted and put in writing. I truly fear for our Republic because of the people in control of BOTH parties but I've always feared the democrat party the most because they are the ones farther away from the constitution I believe. Just my honest opinion and no one has to agree.

Isn't it quaint how you opted not to address the second part of my statement.

The fact that democrats believe a handful of criminals are more important than the American people, much less those who have lost their husbands to war, war they voluntarily signed up to fight under the belief that they are securing our liberties so that we may enjoy freedom here at home.

"Quaint?" More like disregarded something I felt was an Appeal to Emotion fallacy.

Stealing widow's income to push a political agenda is not an emotional fallacy.

It is the values and moral compass of democrats. This is why you have to dismiss it out of hand, because it sickens you to your core yet you refuse to admit it.

No, it's not.. However, using the word "steal" and using the instance to prove that Democrats "hate America," is an Appeal to Emotion Fallacy.
