What is "Tactical?"

"Tactical" seems to be a buzzword attached to almost anything gun related.

• Tactical guns, tactical ammunition, tactical sights, tactical grips, tactical scopes, tactical slings, tactical lights
• Tactical pants, shirts, undershirts, hats, glasses, ball-point pens, boots, flip-flops, mickey-mouse underwear
• Tactical range bags, targets, holsters, belts, magazine pouches, ear protection
• Tactical tactics by tacti-cool tacticians

The list goes on and on. So, what is "tactical?"

I'll start: it's an adjective.

I view "tactical" as just another marketing buzzword.

I agree, overused term that is for marketing use. Sure brings in some extra money from all the mall ninjas.
