What's a good lightweight 1911

What about one of them new Kimber Solos? From holding one a few weeks ago, I like the feel and it's of quality..it's a Kimber

I went to buy a solo and was talked out of it. The salesman said alot of them were going back to Kimber.

I carry a Springfield Lightweight Operater. It is a little lighter than a standard 5" 1911. it handles great and has been 100% reliable. The only thing is, it does not fit into your price criteria. The gun runs around $1,000.

It isnt really light weight, but I have always been a fan of the Colt Combat Commander Series 80.
