    I always feel like the 1911s are a bit overrated - I love them, they're excellent guns, but the issue I always have with them is that people act like they're "perfect", which doesn't really exist for guns. Every gun could be a little better. Colts though, have a lot of different variety - have you tried a more 'sporty' model? The 2011s tend to be extremely smooth and tight - there's a joke to be made there, but they're awesome.

    Firmly seated in the 1911 camp. 2011’s perhaps are ok for some me not so much. I have one that Allen M has gone through and it checks all the boxes.

    As far as the newly acquired Colt I have found it can consistently ring a plate at 50 yards. Not too bad for a production 1911.

    I’m sorry that you are so wrong. It happens to everyone once in a while. If you even think about uttering the g word I will recommend your swift and immediate removal from this thread by your ear.
