I know right. Lets name some that we never see on ingo that we may see on some left leaning websites. There are a LOT of thread topics that are suspiciously absent "here."
And they still haven't learned anything. Must be a splendid school.Reminds of one of the most tasteless punchlines I’ve ever heard:
Kent State- 0
National Guard- 4
Yeah, I laughed....not proud, but I did.
Breathe man, breathe.STILL waiting for those links...
Breathe man, breathe.
I hate to break this to you, but those links aren't coming. If you want true right wing violence, I can recommend some Toby Keith songs.
Was a democrat, like most of us, before democrats became socialists. And Toby is a Democrat
Was a democrat, like most of us, before democrats became socialists.
He is an independent, officially.
Me either, I was trying to sound inclusive. Thanks for the correction. For the record I was never a democrat.
Ha, yeah ARRESTED. I love it. Bout timeRepublican interns doxxing Democrats..oh wait I got that backwards
To say the Democratic Party or the Republican Party of 150yrs ago is the same party we see today is false.
I think part of the communication problem is that "right/left wing" has been used to distort and smear the policies of opponents with the intent to polarize people. But let's roll with that and make a couple word-association comparisons. The klan is right-wing extremist group. That is a point of fact. You are correct in saying the Democrats of the time created the Klan. To imply that the party then, is the same as the party now, is wildly off base. I for the life of me can't understand why people still try to make that argument.

"left-wing": communism--a facist ideology predicated on subjecting the individual to gov't control, demanding total allegiance to the "group think" or they'd send you to siberia, or just take you out back and shoot you.
"right-wing": nazism (national SOCIALISM)--a racist, fascist, ideology predicated on subjecting the individual to gov't control, demanding total allegiance to "fuhrer think" or they'd send you to a concentration camp with the Jews and Gypsies, or just take you out back and shoot you.
More in common there than not.
And what of the "isms" those phrases get twinned with? Without opening my dictionary:
conservatism: individual freedom and accountability; preserving social standards and institutions--like the US Constitution (the institutions that dixie-crats wanted to preserve were their own). Generally, the things republicans say they're for.
liberalism: open minded, tolerant, permissive. Generally, democrats don't even pretend to be these things now and gone to calling themselves "progressives". If you want to find liberals today, you'll have to look in the libertarian party. You won't find them in the democrat party--just ask Judge Kavanaugh.
Between the in-your-face socialism, intolerant, divisive, identity politics, and indecent, scorched-earth-politics, the ideology of the democrat party is slowly beginning IMO to resemble a toxic hybrid of communism and nazism. If JFK and Hubert Humphrey were around today, I bet they'd leave the democrat party and turn on it.
So how does one make a connection between the klan and the "left"? klan=nazi=communist=antifa="social democrat". Sure, that's a broad generalization, but there's more ideological continuity there than: klan=GOP
which definition do you disagree with?Just out of curiosity, where are you getting your definitions?
