Every time I look at this thread, I have a different favorite 45. As of today, it's a Sig railed 1911 in nickel. We'll see what it is next quarter.

    S&W 625 4 or 5" doesn't matter. My 5" is a tack driver!

I've had 4, all but one have been 1911's and shot some other stuff (Beretta Cougar, Glock 2x). AS great as the little compact Taurus is and the fact that it's carrying 11 or 13rds of .45acp, I can't get away from the 1911's. As for over all fave.... I'ts a dead tie between my first 1911 (1991A1 Compact) and my current (Soringfield Loaded). The Little Colt I put close to 2000 rds through, the Springer is now around 400. Both have been dead nuts reliable with one FTE..... and that was an owner problem not a pistol problem (friend loaded the mags for me, had a loose .40 round in the middle of the mag. Fed, fired but wouldn't eject... even hit the target  ).
